Inside under my bathroom lamp this color matched my skin tone perfectly. Im not sure how it would look outside though. It went on smoothly and gave beautiful coverage and a slight shine.
On first try, I loved, loved this formula. It went on so creamy, the finish was semi-matte, the color was just like the other formulas of the same color name and the coverage was wonderful. After using the sample for only 2 days ordered a full size but I really should have waited to see what my skin really thought of it. Since this is a heavier coverage, it's great for people who want a heavier foundation BUT here's my warning: make sure when you wash your face, you wash it off very well because it will stick around and clog pores if you don't. I learned this the hard way.
Applying with a kabuki seemed to work best for me. Applying wet seemed to irritate my skin but I think my skin just doesn't like wet application in general. As the website says, you need to give it a few minutes to settle into the color so don't judge it by the initial application right away, it will look dark but it melts into the skin after a few minutes to the correct color.
I really wanted to love this formula for the days when my skin was acting up but it seems to just add to the problem with clogged pores. I'll stick with Elemental and Minimalist.
Pros:Heavier coverage, creamy finish Cons:Makes me more prone to breakouts
I really liked the sample of EGM's mineral foundation. The coverage was medium like most liquid foundations and the finish was a very nice soft matte. Not flat but soft matte. It lasted all day without any touchups. I bought a full size and have used it several times since and would buy again.
Pros:long lasting, medium coverage, no harmful ingredients, not greasy or heavy Cons:none
It's black with shimmer and super fine glimmer that makes it perfect for lining or as a contour for a super sharp dramatic look! Excellent color for effect and lasting power.
Pros:Beautiful quality and long intense lasting color Cons:none
Fabulous gold glimmery brown color. Definite long lasting quality color. All the eyeshadows I've bought from this company last beautifully without primer base.
Pros:Long lasting. Beautiful strong color Cons:none
Whether or not you like pink I really think that this color will win practically every woman over. It's a strong pink with a little glitter (no glitter really shows with just one layer but lots of pretty pink shadow does) and beautiful medium pink color. I used this with no eyeshadow base and it lasted for 2 days even when I slept on the plane on a 20 hour flight. This eyeshadow is really beautiful and amazing on all complexions.
I love this foundation for it's beautiful flawless natural coverage that covers everything but doesn't look masky or chalky. Lots of colors for every complexion to choose.
Pros:Covers everything with no heavy look. No need for concealer but no chalky buildup look either. Cons:none
Not only is the finish beautiful but the coverage and color selections are great! The best mineral foundation that I've used so far and I've sampled practically 50 brands. Lasts all day even in hot sweaty weather.
Pros:Lasts all day. Beautiful finish. Lots of colors to choose from. Cons:I didn't find this 2 years ago!
I ordered roughly 10 eye shadows recently from MMinerals and many of them were very beautiful and soft in finish. A few disppointingly didn't adhere but overall for the quality, service, and price this is a company definitely worth looking at to build your eye shadow wardrobe. The sales at Mad Minerals are great and the service is too.
Pros:Beautiful and bargain priced Cons:some don't adhere so well
This is quite a lovely foundation for women seeking a light to medium coverage. The finish is rather light glow without the shine that many women dislike. Lasts with minimal touch ups required as the day passes. Worth a sample order for those who have not found Bare Escentuals to not offer enough to win them over to the mineral foundation craze.
Pros:Light glow finish Cons:limited color selection but I was able to make due with Pecan
I tested this while when I was first introduced to mmu and at first I loved it. I did notice that my face started to get little bumps on my cheeks and they wouldn't go away. I finally realized that this formula was the culprit :(. It always itched even if i barely sweated! It also didn't give me as much coverage as the intensive formula did. I have oily skin and thought this would be a good match for me but it was literally like applying regular powder and expecting that to cover up anything. I have since then stuck to the intensive formula which has caused me no problems.
Pros:Very generous container, should last six months if not a whole year Cons:very itching, hardly any coverage, broke me and i still have blemishes to this day
This is EDM's most popular eyeshadow and while the color is very beautiful it's just no good for me. I couldn't get the color to stay no matter what I did (it's a very bronzey brown shade). I tried using udpp, nope; wet, nope; white base, nope! I got this one and two other colors in my first edm kit and all three of them were gorgeous when swatched. Unfortunately they just wouldn't stay on. I will keep trying but as of now, it's just not for me. I have oily eyelids for reference.
The come in a very hefty sized sifter container.
Pros:Very pretty, plenty in container to last you a long time Cons:doesn't last even an hour
I purchased samples of J.Lynne months and months ago, but never really used it. Over the past few weeks, I've become frustrated with all the others that I've been using. So, I decided to pull out the J.Lynne samples that I never really got into. I purchased the warm and golden colors. At first, I thought that the Ivory/Light Golden was going to be way too light, but it's not. It's a perfect match...I love how creamy and natural it looks on me. I wore it to work on my last day and got all sorts of compliments on how perfect my skin looked. Several co-workers took note of the site and the colors I thought would work on them as well!
Pros:Long lasting, creamy, natural finish.
$2.75 is for a sample jar, full size is $18 Cons:Sample price is kind of high compared to others.
I really wanted to like this product. I had really high hopes. I did like the feel and texture. It's very soft but the coverage is very sheer, I couldn't seem to build it and it didn't seem to last long. I may try this company again since it was one of my first ventures into MMU and I didn't have my application down yet. I really liked their bronzer and blushes. Nice quality. UPDATE: Ok so I did go back and buy more samples and with the correct brush (a more dense flat top kabuki, or their foundation brush) this went on smooth and fabulous. It lasted all day with minimal shine. It helps when you have the right shade which their MUA is very very helpful and nice to give suggestions for whatever you are looking for. I will be purchasing a full size.
Pros:lots of colors to choose from, smooth and creamy texture Cons:
Not really a primer but I like to use it as one occassionally. It's labeled as a night treatment for reducing inflammation. If you use a morning moisterizer that leaves you a little shiny, putting this on before your mineral foundation will help it grab onto your skin. I love to use this when my skin is just not happy but I can't use it too often because it dries my skin out. Great to dab on problem areas to dry out pimples. I just feel a little better that I have it on hand. This is my favorite Larenim product.
At first I didn't like this finishing powder. It seemed to not absorb oil/shine, seemed blothcy than non-existant and it just wasn't right. I later discovered (after some advice form you wonderful members) that I wasn't using the right brush and the application was my problem. After I switched to a more fluffy brush, it was able to work it's magic. You only need a little bit of this stuff to cover your whole face and set your make up. It's finish is so soft. Not powdery, flat, or cakey. It comes in the same size jar as the foundation, it's going to last a loooong time and very well worth the money.
This foundation is lovely. It goes on silky and feels so smooth on your skin. Especially great for if you like a luminous finish. This one is better if applied lightly on me or I get a little more shiney than I'd like in the T-zone after a few hours. I like a more matte finish (I prefer Minimalist) so I will touch this up once in the afternoon to blot some shine but the color doesn't slip or fade.
I bought cheap samples of this brand back in January. The matte formula is good although if you have dry skin like I do, I would recommend mixing it with the satin formula. I plan on trying just the matte formula now that it is summer, my skin is less dry and its more humid out. This product doesn't irritate my skin or cause break outs. I would recommend trying this brand.
